What you will learn:This 10-hour training series includes five self-paced modules designed to orient new and experienced staff on the Essentials of CCR&R including child care in America, CCR&R in America and CCR&R Best Practices. After that first 3-part lesson, the trainee has 4 additional lessons. These include a 2-hour course in basic consumer education and referral, a 1-hour introduction to adult learning, a 90-minute lesson on assisting child care programs with fire safety and a 2-hour introduction to on-site technical assistance. The fire safety lesson was specifically designed to teach the topic of fire safety in combination with the steps to develop an on-site technical assistance project. All of the lessons were developed by experts in each field and are consistent with NACCRRA’s Best Practices for CCR&Rs. Upon the completion of the 10-hour series, an optional one-hour consultation is available for the trainee with a NACCRRA Quality Assurance Consultant to respond to specific questions and provide additional resources.
