NACCRRA Data Services: Online Referral Module (ORM)
Dates: September 27, October 11, November 3, November 29
Total Items: 1
Total Time: 2 Hours
The NACCRRA Data Services Help Desk staff presents a virtual training designed for CCR&R staff members that are using Online Referral Module (ORM) to allow parents to search the NACCRRAware database online for referrals. Designed for agencies setting up an ORM profile for the first time, this session is geared for CCR&R database administrators and does not cover technical aspects such as stylesheets or adding the ORM link to a website. A default profile will be created during this session that can be used immediately or shared with a website developer.
To participate in a NACCRRA Webinar, you will need an Internet connection, computer, and a telephone connection with long distance capability.
What you will learn:
This training covers the basics of creating and maintaining/updating an ORM profile that can be used to allow parents the ability to search the agency’s live provider database. Customizing the profile is discussed but is not the focus of the training. Migrating existing IMM client data is also reviewed.
About the Facilitators:
Ruth Bowell has provided training and technical support for NACCRRAware and now NACCRRA Data Services since 2000. Prior to that, Ruth managed the parent referral department and was also responsible for the database maintenance and reports at a local CCR&R. She assisted her state with their development of statewide standardized configurations and has also consulted with several states as they’ve standardized their configurations.
Charlotte Pelz has worked in Child Care Resource & Referral for five years. Initially, she was the Parent Counselor at a local CCR&R where she managed the agency’s NACCRRAware database for referrals and reporting. As the Data Manager for a CCR&R State Network Office, Charlotte provided training and technical support for the local agencies. She now works for the NACCRRA Data Services Help Desk providing training and technical support.
Participants must have access as an Administrator to their agency’s Online Referral Module (ORM) software prior to enrolling in this training. Participants will also need access to the NACCRRAware application.
While NACCRRAware users accessing NACCRRAware on a local or state server are able to enroll in the training we ask that they be aware that the ORM application is exclusive to NDS users accessing NACCRRAware via the Hosted Solution.
The training consists of one 2-hour session. The session will occur from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
The technical requirements to participate in this NACCRRA Data Services training are an Internet connection, computer and telephone with long distance dialing capability. Access to a training database will be provided. An email confirmation with the details needed to join the training will be sent within one business day of registration.
Long distance charges may apply to participate in this training, depending on your long distance provider.
What you will receive:
- One 2-hour facilitated session
- Access to the facilitator for questions during and after the sessions
- Best Practices document for configuring and using an Online Referral Module profile
